Another direct route connecting Kelowna and Vancouver Island is set to launch on June 25, 2024, operating six days a week, from Sunday to Friday.

“The announcement of this new direct flight to Comox means yet another link for Kelowna to Vancouver Island, which further enhances regional connectivity and provides more opportunities for economic growth. It also aligns with YLW’s commitment to providing more efficient and seamless travel options to our residents and visitors,” says Mayor Tom Dyas.

Pacific Coastal Airlines has been a trusted airline partner with YLW for the past 11 years, bringing multiple regional destinations to Okanagan residents. The new route to Comox is another example of the airline's commitment to serving the needs and interests of the local community.

"We are thrilled to partner with Pacific Coastal Airlines to launch new direct flights to Comox and provide more options for our passengers as we continue to grow the network between Vancouver Island and the Okanagan region," said Sam Samaddar, YLW Chief Executive Officer and Tourism Kelowna Board Director.

With this addition, Pacific Coastal Airlines now offers three direct routes between Vancouver Island and Kelowna, including Victoria and Nanaimo. The airline also announced that it will expand its service to Victoria by offering 3x services, starting June 23, 2024.

To celebrate the launch of this new route, Pacific Coastal Airlines is pleased to offer a special promotion. Passengers who book by April 21 can enjoy a 20% discount on bookings using the promo code: KELCOM. Further details regarding the promotion can be found on the Pacific Coastal website.
